DJ Simon Jain

(April 1st 2006, May 6th 2006 @ Club Phoenix London)

A virtual unknown in 2004, Simon has fervently taken on all comers to forge a unique musical identity that caused him to breakout in 2005. Starting his career in the budding London (Ontario) rave scene in the late 90's, he then found himself back in Toronto by 2001. Known for his 'rockin' performances with a persona to match, it is no wonder he makes friends and fans alike wherever he roams. Behind the turntables his sound and style fused with his unending energy have earned him the respect and admiration of those on the dancefloor; never mind the fact that he removes his shoes for his live sets, of which he comments, 'I just feel more comfortable without them. is that considered weird?" Truly a performer by nature, his motivation and dedication to play has always been rooted in the culture and those who diligently support it. His mix sets have been featured in outlets the continent over and his endearing diverse affection for music make him a talent to watch for. Now, having graced the decks at a plethora of Toronto's top clubs, he now finds himself with residencies at The Gallery @ The Guvernment and Comfort Zone.
